This is what was going on at my house this morning!
Does anyone feel bad for me? I mean it is May 24th. I certainly felt bad for my little gerber daisy!
We haven’t been up to much lately. Just more of the same old stuff. We have attacked our yard though since the weather has had its moments of goodness. Even though yard work is time consuming, I sorta love it. I find it satisfying making something look better. And I can’t stand the dandelion infestation in our backyard so 30 minutes of weeding usually turns into 2 hours. But Jack loves to play in the dirt and the water so we have a good time. Here are some photos of our yard adventures.
We made it back to the zoo last weekend which was a lot of fun again. We even saw the tigers having their morning meal which I loved. Some people were grossed out, but Dan and I thought it was awesome!
And here are just a few more randoms…
Listening to “susic”, climbing in the swing all by himself and feeling so proud, and bubble boy.
Sometimes I think life is crazy. I can’t believe that I am a mom and old enough to be one for that matter. It was almost out of body yesterday when I opened a card from Dan and Jack that said Happy Mother’s Day. I mean really…I am just a kid myself. But for some reason that I am grateful for but find hard to believe, I am a mom. And most days, I’m really not that great at it, but it is my calling, job, responsibility and opportunity. And I love my Jack Jack. He is the greatest kid and I am happy to his mom. How can you not love this…
I was getting ready this morning and Jack was down in the basement playing with his toys. I heard him coming my way and saw this and died of laughter. Somehow he got his pants off, and attempted to put on his shoes. He was ready to go play. I couldn’t help but smile.
We worked in our yard all afternoon on Saturday. You know you are homeowner when the largest deduction from your bank account the past week is from Home Depot. And I am confident it won’t be the last! I had a lot of fun although I must say that Dan and Richard did mostly everything. Between being pregnant and taking care of Jack who was determined to pick all the newly poisoned dandelions, I sorta had my hands full. But I was able to plant our garden (I hope it grows!) and dig up some weeds and dirt. It looks 500 times better in our yard. Too bad we didn’t do some before and after pictures.
We found a pretty good helper in the process. His new favorite word…DIRT!
Here are just a few pictures of Jack in some of the new places he has found to play. Love him!
I weep at the thought that the no more people from our immediate family go to BYU. I love it there and love every excuse to go there. It is the best. The end of April my youngest brother graduated. My parents came up to celebrate. It was fun to have them here for just a short while. It had been 4 months since they had seen the Jack Jack.
I greatly approve of BYU changing the graduation robes to blue. Wish that I had waited seven more years so that I could wear blue instead of black. And I know you’re thinking the same thing, but yes, it has been seven years since I graduated from BYU. So crazy.
On Saturday we all went to the zoo. Dan and I bought our year long pass and can’t wait to use it again if it would ever stop snowing here. We had a good time. Jack was, however, more entertained by fact that he was outside rather than the animals. Maybe he will catch on by the end of the summer…
Still no pictures of our house. I guess I feel lazy about it since none of our pictures are hanging, but we’ll get there eventually, I think!
