Park City

We just got back from an extended weekend stay in Park City with my family.  It was awesome and a much needed break from the norm.  We had a great time and wish it could have lasted longer like all vacations.

Jack and Ryan in Grandpa and Grandma’s walking hats.

I feel like Jack grew taller and wiser on this trip.  There is no mistaking that he is a kid and not a baby anymore.  We don’t have any type of portable eating chair for him so he just sat at the bar everyday for his meals.  Nothing made him seem older than that.

My favorite feature of the house was the balcony off the kitchen.  It had an amazing view and a great table for card playing.

Dan’s favorite feature was the theater room.  I could not get this picture to come out any lighter but you get the idea.

Jack’s favorite feature…the walk-in shower.

One day we went to Jordanelle Lake.  We all crammed into my parent’s car to avoid paying more than one entrance fee.  Looks comfy-right?  Good thing it was like one minute away.  Jack loved the water and digging in the sand/dirt.  My question is, why don’t kids ever recognize the coldness of water?  You could not have paid me enough money to get in there, but it did not ever phase him.

And here is the only proof (from my camera anyway) that I was on the trip.  The womb bomb at 28 weeks.

Thanks parentals for a good trip.  We hope it becomes a semi-frequent tradition!

Happy Birthday

Dan’s birthday was on Monday.  We can’t believe that we are entering the last year of our 20s.  Blah!  I think he had a fun day despite having to go to work.  We met him for lunch to break up his day.  He came home a little bit early, and we went on walk around the neighborhood.  We found a lizard and Dan had a great time teaching Jack about it.  I think Jack was slightly nervous, but he did end up touching it.  We then went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse with Dan’s family.  Jack did not like when Dan was sung to by the waiters.  I am mean and thought that it was kinda humorous.  We then came back to our house for cake.  And then headed to Boondocks with the Mills’ for mini putt and arcades.  Happy Birthday HD.  We hope you had a fun day.

All tuckered out after a long day of celebration.

I am a blogging delinquent lately.  But honestly, I can’t believe it has been over 2 weeks since I last posted.  Time flies by too quickly.  Well my latest pictures have no theme and are all of Jack just like always.  So enjoy.

Eating mishaps.  The victim of a blue skittle and avocado smashed all over in his diaper.  Lately I have felt so tired of cleaning up Jack’s eating messes.  It seems like it has become worse rather than better.  He likes to take his whole plate of food and dump it down in his highchair seat.  It is getting really old.  Help!  But on a positive note, he is getting better at using his spoon and drinking out of a real cup.

He likes to help water the garden and can name everything that is growing.  Squash, peas, carrots and tomatoes.

Another day at the zoo.  He is liking it more and more.

Wishing it was bath time and a bad case of “morning diaper”.  Although, I think it doesn’t really do it justice cause it looked really saggy.  He posed really cute though.

In pregnancy news, I guess, I am 26 weeks (6.5 months).  I think I might actually look pregnant now, but no one random has said anything yet, so maybe not.  The facts are that I can tell I am prego by about week 10, but for whatever reason other people can’t tell until I am like 7 months along.  But anyway, I am feeling great.  This little lady is crazy at all times.  We still haven’t picked a name or really talked about it.  She might remain unnamed until her birthday because, for whatever reason, we never think to talk about it.  Oh well…
