Luke had the cutest Friendsgiving at preschool.  I was dying over these pictures.  Especially the one of him and his friend Jack doing a belly bump because both of their “tummies were huge from eating so much food.”  Love these buddies.

We had quite a few boy meltdowns at the beginning of the month.  The joy of blogging a month behind is that I can’t remember what they were about.  But I sure love to document these to show that its not always the easiest being a mom!

We got out some of Christmas décor just to get started.  Luke was overjoyed to help me out and felt the need to put on his Christmas sweater the next day for school.

Sometimes Luke and Jack can actually be touching and not end up wrestling.  Its pretty miraculous when it happens.

We spent a lot of time snuggling with baby Cora.  Sophie is a miracle worker.  I can’t wait for her extra set of hands when our little one gets here.

There were a couple of nights that we found Luke sleeping at the bottom or the top of the stairs.  I’m not sure how we didn’t hear him or see him until right before we went to bed on this night.  But I’m glad we did.  What if he had turned over the other way and tumbled down the stairs?!  That would have been scary to hear in the middle of the night.  Sneaky little guy.

Thanksgiving 2017

We had the best Thanksgiving this year.  Deeds, Kimmy and Lynlea came down from Rigby which was fun.  I sure love that Lynlea girl.  We spent most of the day on Wednesday cooking food.  It made Thanksgiving a little less busy.  We were even able to actually play a card game before we got everything ready for dinner.  The food was amazing and the pies were even better.  On Friday we went and saw the new Disney movie Coco.  It is such a wonderful movie.  Everyone should see it!  On Saturday the boys went to see the Justice League movie and us ladies hung around with the kiddos.  That night we went and enjoyed a Mexican dinner.  It was fun to be together and to laugh a lot (did you see Deeds in that Yeti costume?).  Thanksgiving is such a fun holiday to me.  I love being with my family.

BYU game

We managed to make it to the last BYU game of the season all together as a family.  It was a super painful season for the Cougs.  And this game was no exception.  It turned super cold the night before the game and our seats were in the shade so we were freezing.  The kids tried hard to be good sports but by halftime they were done.  So we moved to some seats on the east side of the stadium in the sun and we were all happier.  We did leave early though because it was a miserable game to watch.  We hope BYU can come around next season.

Happy birthday Luke!

I love my little Lukie.  I can’t believe that he is 4!  He has grown up a lot this year.  He loves to color and really is a gifted little artist.  He loves to play with Sophie most of all.  They play house or school.  It is pretty cute.  He loves to wrestle and tackle Jack.  They are kind of naughty together, laughing at potty words and funny movies they’ve seen together.  They are good buddies but I could do without the constant need to touch each other.  He is loving school and has the rotation between houses memorized so he loves to remind me that today we are going to Olivia’s or Jack’s.  He is a smart boy too.  He recognizes all his lower case letters now, is working on counting to 20, getting really good at letter sounds (he read his first word over Thanksgiving all on his own “beef”) and loves to write any and every word that he can.  I love to see him excelling.  We are still sticking to his diet plan and he continues to grow.  We hope that his insides look healthy too.  This year he wanted a PJ Mask party.  We had a chill morning at home together.  We made his cupcakes which he thought was so fun.  After we picked up the kids from school we went to the dinosaur museum.  It was fun for the big kids to be with us.  Then we met up with Dan at Johnny Rockets which was Luke’s request.  He wanted a hot dog for dinner.  After dinner the Taylors and my mom came up to watch Luke open presents and to enjoy a cupcake.  He was overjoyed about his Spider-Man guitar.  I couldn’t even get a clear picture because he was jumping around like a wild man.  It was a good day!  Happy Birthday to my buddy!  Stats: 35 lbs (50 %), 38 inches (10%).

Baby Cora is here

We welcomed a new cousin and niece at the end of October.  My kids were so excited that they could come to the hospital to meet sweet baby Cora.  She is a little doll face.  We all love her!

Halloween 2017

We had a great October here.  Halloween is so fun with these kiddos.  A couple of Saturdays before Halloween we went to the Red Barn to pick out our pumpkins and enjoy the fun activities they have…jumping pillow, apple gun, driving tractors, gunny sack slides, corn mazes, etc.  Plus we love to eat apple cider donuts and ice cream!  It was fun to be there with Kerri just a couple of days before she had her baby.  We took some prego shots together since its never happened before and never will again!

We had a lot of help this year carving the pumpkins which was awesome and made it go by so much faster.  Jack did the LA Dodger pumpkin almost all on his own.  And Sophie did everything by herself.  It was awesome.

We enjoyed good weather on Halloween which was so nice.  Luke had a Halloween party at preschool and Jack and Sophie participated in the school Halloween parade.  That night Jack went out with some of his friends.  So grown up!  We stayed with Sophie and Luke and loved walking around with their friends Katie and Olivia.  It was a great year!
