Farewell “Route 166”

On May 29th we moved from our home in Draper.  It was a sad, sad day.  I loved it there.  We made lasting friends and had the best neighbors.  My kids grew up in that little house and it makes me sad just thinking about it.  Everything went really smooth with our move.  We hired movers to move us out so I literally did not lift a box that day.   That was an awesome blessing.  We are happy that we were able to sale our home to people from our ward that were living in the apartments.  I was actually Becky’s visiting teacher for 4 years so I was really happy for her and her husband to be in home.  But I do miss that place.  We find ourselves in the old neighborhood a lot and it still feels like home…like we belong there.  But I know in time we will have that feeling here in our new home and neighborhood.  Everything takes time!

  1. I got sad when you moved too. I miss thinking of you up there on that hill. I also still miss that ward SO MUCH. Our ward we are in now is incredible, but Mtn Point 3 will always be first in my heart.

  2. Moving really is so so hard. Especially from your first home. Of course I was even really sad leaving our NYC apartment even though we were only there a year. It’s like you’re leaving a piece of yourself behind…and so many memories. I can’t wait to see your new place someday!

  3. I might have cried the whole time I vacuumed your house that last night. Oopsies! So many awesome memories there! But your new house is incredible…love it!
