The week that was

I cannot believe another week has gone by.  In just about 6 weeks my baby will be 1 and I can’t even believe it.  He is the joy of our every day lives…seriously.  Who can remember what we even laughed about or talked about before there was Jack?  It is a mystery to me.  He is really the greatest.

Jack loves the refrigerator.  As soon as he hears it open, he crawls on over.  This morning he climbed up on the bottom shelf.  But, of course, I missed the photo op.  He did manage to grab an apricot though.  He loves all fruit.

Jack has found the DVDs.  Help!  No, it really isn’t that bad.  But he does empty them a couple times of day and instantly when he sees me pick them up, he crawls over and empties them again.  I’m convinced he likes things to be disorganized which is good and bad, I guess.

Jack still loves the blind thingys.  He plays with them at least once a day.  Except now he climbs up me and kneels in the window sill as well.  You should see the status of said window!

Jack loves straws.  And he especially loves when Daddy and straws are combined.

Jack loves Uncle Ethan and key lime pie.  He seriously sat there on his knees just waiting patiently for each bite.  It was super cute.  We probably owe Ethan about 1/2 a piece of pie.  That is how much Jack loved it!

Jack loves his new carseat.  He played in it for like 20 minutes the first day we got it.  Now it is old news and he doesn’t even notice its in the room.  Someday we will get around to installing it.

And finally, Jack loves his styling new haircut.  In reality is was just a trim around the ears and neck and little off the top, but it was haircut nonetheless.  And I think he looks older and not so babylike.  I don’t know how I feel about that!  Thank you Aunt Brittany!

In other Jack news, he has cut his second tooth, we have dropped the afternoon breastfeeding, and he is becoming a more proficient walker taking at least 30 steps yesterday without falling.

  1. Look, Jack, grandma is remembering to check up on you each week. The car seat is big but you look like a grown-up kid sitting in it. Finally tooth #2. Next time I get to see you’ll have those top teeth and you will really will be grown up. First haircut and key lime pie. It sounds like you have had a great week!

  2. I love that him and Tommy are twinners eating apricots/peaches out of the fridge. Jack is so cute! I can’t get over it.

  3. He’s adorable!! I love that he’s just like a little kid these days… a year already?? How time flies… especially when it revolves around a great thing like babies 🙂

  4. Isn’t it true, those who don’t want children, don’t know what they are missing out on! Love you, Amy!
