Isn’t Christmas the best? We sure love it around here. We started out our break by taking the kids to see the new Star Wars movie. I ended up having the worst migraine that day & ended up throwing up in the movie theater bathroom. But besides that, it was an awesome movie.
We went to Grandma Pett’s for Christmas Eve which is a fun tradition. I love seeing the kids act out the nativity and see their confidence grow each passing year in acting out their roles. Plus the food is awesome especially the orange rolls. Mmm. When we came home we reviewed Luke 2 and then got our goodie plate ready for Santa. The kids love it so much and it makes me so happy.
We woke up to about 6 inches of snow on Christmas morning. This is the 3rd year in a row that we’ve had a white Christmas. It is pretty magical. Christmas morning started at about 5:30 at our house. Jack and Sophie came up together and before I could stop them, they had Luke awake! But it made me happy that they wanted to include him and show him what Santa had brought. We had a lot of fun opening our presents and eating a good breakfast. We then went to church which I really like. It is kinda a bummer to have to get dressed on Christmas day but I loved being able to think more about Jesus and hear the beautiful music. Luke was actually a demon at church which was too bad. A consequence of going to bed late and being awake super early. The Taylor’s joined us in the afternoon. We made stuffed mushrooms and had delicious sandwiches. It was a great day.
